Jason Pritchard The Story so far

Welcome to the website of Jason Pritchard!

Jason flourished in 2015, winning the British Historic Rally Championship and 2016 has been no different for the 28-year-old Welshman as he successfully defended his Historic Rally title with co-driver Phil Clarke.

Jason is a competitive driver from Wales, he is a young and successful prospect and offers an ideal sponsorship opportunity for your organisation as you can see from his career history below.

Opportunities to sponsor can be discussed with Jason directly or his media team (please see contacts)

Jason started his competitive career in Autograss at the age of 13 and showed his winning potential by finishing 3rd in his very first race meeting.

At the age of 14 competed in the British Autograss Championship, after the opening round Jason was leading the series. A mixed year spoilt the initial glory, though he completed the series in a respectable 10th place and gained recognition as a key player among his fellow competitors and teams.

The following season Jason moved to the MSA Junior Rally Cross Championship piloting a self prepared Mini to 3rd overall. In 2005 Jason continued with Rally Cross competing aboard a Peugeot 106 Maxi. Victorious in many events throughout the season including
the British Grand-Prix, Jason also competed in the modified class challenging the more powerful 2.4 litre vehicles in his small capacity Peugeot to reward him with 4th overall in the Two Wheel Drive Trophy.

2006 Jason moved to rallying with the Peugeot, contesting many events to gain valuable experience. The valuable experience secured 3rd in class of the BTRDA Championship, along with podium finishes during the year including second in class on his first rally and 6th in class at the Cork 20 International in Ireland. Jason’s winning ways and driving ability was rewarded with his selection into the MSA Rally Academy.

In 2007 Jason moved to the British Rally Championship with a Citroen C2R2 and promptly won the class on his opening event! After three seasons contesting the Citroen Racing Trophy, which saw Jason finish as runner up twice and take the crown once, the young Builth Wells resident moves up to a 2010 specification Subaru Impreza 4 wheel drive turbo for his fifth year of rallying! Built by Prodrive, this latest specification Impreza features improved torque and greater horsepower thanks to the new regulations allowing larger restrictors.

Jason contested in his first full British Rally Championship (BRC) in 2010 and again in 2011. In 2010 Jason moved into a Subaru Impreza N2010 for the BRC and had a 100% finish rate and allowed him to finish in a impressive 3rd position, he had outright wins on gravel and tarmac. He was a wildcard nomination for PWRC on Wales Rally GB where he finished an impressive 20th.

In 2011 Jason endured some poor luck in his second BRC attempt, however the year was still successful, the young Welsh driver made his overseas World Rally Championship (WRC) debut and made his mark during the ADAC Rallye Deutschland. Jason finished an impressive 28th overall and 3rd in his class and was “absolutely delighted” with the end result. The rally, based in the historic town of Trier, saw Pritchard tackle 359km, of competitive rallying over the three day event.

In 2015 Jason won the British Historic Rally Championship and in 2016 he became only the second man to win the title back-to-back.

Jason continues to progress in the world of rallying and each year he is improving and winning stages and classses.
